Promoting Mental Well-Being

CPS is committed to ensuring our schools remain safe, inclusive, and welcoming educational environments that embrace and celebrate everyone in our diverse school communities. The CPS Office of Student Health and Wellness (OSHW) has partnered with various CPS departments and partner organizations to develop resources for students and families. Please refer to the following resources listed below:

  • Chicago Services Resource Guide
  • Taking Care of Your Feelings
  • Taking Care of Your Mental Well-Being
  • CPS Mental Health Website

Taking the time to care for ourselves helps us recharge and process emotions. We encourage you to use these resources to support not only your own mental health but also the well-being of your students and your families.

To learn more about all the services that the CPS’ Office of Student Health and Wellness can offer, please visit cps.edu/oshw or call the Healthy CPS Hotline at (773) 553-KIDS (5437). Families enrolled in Medicaid can also reach out directly to their MCO (Managed Care Organization) to learn more about available mental health resources.
